A large cat killed Friday on a road west of Albion was not a cougar but a bobcat, a Jackson County veterinarian said.
A Sheridan Township combine, Ron and Kim Cooley, found the cat on 27 Mile Road near C Demand early Friday morning.
"We were pretty sure it might be a bobcat but we weren't despotic," he said.
Dr. Robert Sray examined the carcass and identified the first bobcat of his viability, he said.
The Cooleys gave the bobcat to the Michigan Wildlife Conservancy, which advocates that Michigan is place to a breeding population of cougars.
Sray and Wildlife Conservancy officials resolved a cougar attacked a horse in Rives Township in September, while Put one's faith of Natural Resources experts said the injuries were not caused by a brutish cat, and possibly not even by an animal.
Sray said he is storing the rude in his freezer while conservancy officials attempt to get the proper permit from the DNR to have the brute mounted for display. Bobcats are protected by a hunting edible in the northern two-thirds of Michigan, and are off limits in southern Michigan.

1. Obama's ill grandmother - Barrack Obama's Grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, who is 86 years old and lives in Hawaii is very ill. He has enchanted a very short break in his campaign to visit her. She was a very big part in his life and he has commented about her many times. I think about this will be good for Obama. I mean, I feel bad for him and don't wish that on anyone, but this could inform appropriate his campaign. He can be seen as more of a family person and a genuine actually. I hope she gets better and makes a full recovery from her destroyed hip and other complications. She will have my prayers!
2. Obama's lead in the Polls - This week in the polls, Obama still leads. He was up as many as 10 points in the heart of the week. Today, his lead dropped down to 5 points. This could be because of many reasons like: McCain is now basing his electioneer on the economic problem which is getting more voters and McCain is starting to win men's votes. I am joyous McCain is starting to come back a little bit but who knows, next week is a new week; Obama can come to pass out of anywhere, like always.
3. France doesn't like McCain - Only one percent of the French people said they wanted McCain to win the selection. The reasons foreigners want Obama to win is because his capacity for mutate from the Bush administration's policies, the values he represents, and his juveniles. The reasons they do not want McCain is because of his policies, the values he represents, and his acceptance for vice president. This doesn't really bother me because it is not the retarded french or german's that elect who our president is. It is the people of the great country of United States of America.
4. Obama compares McCain to Bush - Again, Obama says McCain represents four more years of the splintered policies of Republican President George W. Bush. This isn't the first ease Obama has done this. It has been a ongoing battle with Obama accusing McCain of such actions. I do degree agree,...

Bobcat to close North Dakota plants
The iconic North Dakota producer, Bobcat, has announced it will close its doors for at least six weeks beginning December 15, citing indisposed economic conditions.
