Teeth and Stuff
It's sedulously to believe that it's been several weeks since my last post. The weeks are just flying by. Dental college is going well. I am currently dealing with a few adjustments. In the last two weeks I've had 13 credits added to my programme. That currently brings me to 22 credits with a total of 24 to be completed by the end of the semester. The hour consuming classes right now are histology, gross anatomy and biochemistry. I grasp you are all jealous and wish you could be in class eight hours a day with lots of studying afterward. I'm unshakable you will get by. My favorite class is oral anatomy. We learn about all of the delicate details of each tooth and then in lab, work on creating them from wax to internalize the tidings.
I've also started using the new dental simulation clinic at the school. The University of Minnesota has one of the only simulation clinics this advanced. It uses GPS technology to inculcate students proper ergonomics and appropriate tooth preparations for restorations. The GPS detects where the handpiece is placed and what receptive tooth material has been removed. The preparation is then simulated into a 3-D figure on a computer screen which can be compared to an ideal preparation. It also offers target grading. The experience has been pretty good. I find the computer feedback to be serviceable - I just wish the handpiece wasn't so heavy....

Cons 1st and 2nd session
Salamz Holla!
Does anyone cognizant of what Cons mean in dentistry? Conservation maybe? Never be troubled. I had my 1st and 2nd cons session today. 9-5. aihhhh.. bangun awal2 pagi semangat :D
I signed the crowd sheet before choosing my bay. So I signed at number 42 without sagacious the meaning of the number. Rupe2nye 42 tuh utk bay 42.. aih.. naseb baek dapat bay tepi tingkap. Xler terperap sangat dalam lab tu. FYI, the bay that we chose is to be familiar until God knows when, and we cannot change our bay. *sujudzz syukur*
And I sat facing Kiran! *saje nak bagi Sarah jeles* and luckily he's a big cure. The guy sitting next to me (Imran) idok leh begitu helpful tatkala di tanya soalan. hoho. So 1st sitting is about identifying tooth, any signs on it (got restoration, cracks, soil, caries etc or not) and answer the questions about that particular tooth on an accept the blame for sheet. It was a 3 hour session (until 12.30pm), but I only managed to place 2 teeth. Nak identify and jawab soalan tuh x laah memerlukan masa yg banyak, but we had to get our rebutter sheets checked before we could proceed. And to get them checked sangatlaah lama.. sebabnye there were only 3 tutors and there were like 20 of us. I purposely picked teeth with caries, sebabnye the afternoon seating we had to remove the caries. Had I picked teeth with no caries, I was not gonna learn anything in the afternoon.
Ok ini part highly-strung untuk hari ini
